Sooooo

Hey all! I hope everyone is well, I'm doing just superb! Seems like the days are getting loonger and looonnngggerrrr as I get closer to graduating! (YIKES!)

Anyways, I was thinking about my tattooos, and how I'm doing my whole left arm in dali pieces, and so I was thinking (I'm so sentimental) that because I just love you guys so much, I thought maybe it would be nice if some of you (or all) would check out some Dali pieces online, and find one you love, and send it to me, so that way my sleeve will have a bit more meaning than my love for Dali. If you guys choose not to do that, my feelings won't be hurt, but I thought it would be kind of a cool idea.

And I'll try not to get more on my arm done before christies wedding!!

So yeah, I guess if you do find a piece of his work then just post it on here, and I'll print it off and that would be cool....

Just an Idea!

I love everyone!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Thank you to everyone involved in, and who attended, my surprise bridal shower. I still can't believe you all surprised me... especially Mom! Casey couldn't even surprise me with my engagement ring! Haha. It was really awesome and I am so grateful for the thought and care that went into the preparations and the details. Anyone who took pictures, please post them online or e-mail them to me! I didn't get to take my own, so as many as I can get from others would be awesome!
Hope to see everyone in July!
LOVE LOVE!

19 Years...

This date marks 19 years of marriage for Darrell and I. It has been up and down, like a roller coaster. But, I love him and he loves me. At the end of the day, that is what counts.

Now, if I could only find the wedding album,
I would post a picture of the all the Nuts of the time. :)
Maybe just these few will do:
Kyle decided at the last minute that he did not want to be in the wedding. But, he made it through. Christie looked cute as a button in her eyelet dress and purple bow. I wonder if Kathy ever did wear her dress again. Mine is still hanging in the closet. And that is the last time I saw a tux on either Bobby or Darrell. Enough wedding commentary. :)
It was a wonderful time, and made special by the fact that my family was there. I am looking forward to the next big day: Christie's wedding! I hope her day is as wonderful as mine was.

First Home

Here is a picture of Sam and Nates new home. They moved in about 3 weeks ago. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a good sized eat-in kitchen and a large living room. They have unpacked, bought curtains and now have to get the babys room ready. We have a great video of Jim breaking into the house through the kitchen window, but sadly I can't upload it for some reason.

ONE YEAR!

so I'm not sure how many of you know, it could be all of you, but I used to use certain types of drugs. I'm not getting into it, it's a part of my past that I'm not proud of and would like to leave behind me. Anyways, today is ONE YEAR drug free date. but that's all.

It's also been 6 months for myself and Erin tonight at 6:30 ( yeah i'm that good to remember the time too)

She Made It!

Welcome to Karen's college graduation. It's hard to tell just how far away we are in this photo but when the class came in, we couldn't see a single thing. In this photo most people are sitting down.

Then it started to rain and the event became "survival of the fittest".....cold, damp, no--wet, and THIS photo shows what we saw through most of the ceremony. UMBRELLAS!
In the end, Karen still received her diploma--complete with a gold sticker after her name that said "cum laude" which she didn't know what it meant! If any one else wonders, it means she graduated with honors. (I think her final gpa was 3.36--not bad for someone who was scared she wasn't going to make it!)
I could show you photos of the fam, but since you know what we all look like, I thought I would show the core group of Karen's college existence. From left to right: Robert Lynn, Karen's "friend of the boy kind" who graduated with departmental honors. Very smart guy!! We enjoyed meeting him again and talking sports! Then Karen. Then Stone. I don't think Karen would have made it through college without this trusty housemate and friend. I think if you could have a best man instead of a maid of honor as a bride, Stone would be it! And on the far right is Karen's friend Kyle. He really knows how to dance and make Karen laugh!

We made it through. By the way, we also saw Christie and Casey's new home. It's just beautiful. I can't wait to stay in the green room again! The girls and Casey will be home Memorial Day weekend. I hope you will all see them then!

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

Grown don't mean nothing to a mother. A child is a child. They get bigger, older, but grown? What's that suppose to mean? In my heart it don't mean a thing.
~Toni Morrison, Beloved, 1987
I love you very much. Thank you for the many long talks, late nights, and good food.

so.. more big news....

well I got a tattoo yesterday. It's a nautical star. Which by the way from everything I've read ( and it better be right) stands for the hope to find one's way in life, and the hope to find one's way home safely, no matter where you are. This was originally used by sailors to represent the North star, Their only hope of finding their way home safely, no matter where they were, and was later used by others for the same basic meaning of finding one's way, but in life, not necessarily home.
so, that is the tattoo, and why I got it. I hope you enjoy.
Oh, and a heads up... the bottom of your rib cage isn't the most comfortable place to get one of these things...
