So, Jenn.... one question. How do they know it's Halloween there at Newbury Comics??
Just wondering.....
For all of you out there, it's not very nice for someone to bring up such a painful memory for a loved one.
There I was....in the barn attic at Ralph Shaws for a Youth Group dance........and Skip Hoffman was playing songs for all of the girls........and then it was my turn. I thought maybe "Surfer Girl" but no.
You Ain't Nothin' but a Hound Dog!!!!!!!!!!
I wish he were here right now, darn him. I'd kick him in the knee today. But back then, boo-hoo!!
Happy Halloween, one and all!
P.S. Tell your man Mike that I stayed up half the night to see the Red Sox WIN THE WORLD SERIES! Two in four years. He owes me a hot dog.

You Ain't Nuthin But A Hound DOG!!
No, Aunt kathy, the headliner isn't to bring up tragic stories. lol. Just popped into my head. Well, I haven't even shared anything about my new job, and I realized after reading Aunt Cindys blog, that I should! well...what can I say? I LOVE my job at Newbury!!! I am doing very well there. I learned the register in....about ten minutes flat. I was ringing people up left and right on my second day!! There is alot of work to do, and that is what I like (sometimes) Its mostly putting cds away which i'm getting faster at, now that I know where everything is located lol. It's cool, I get paid to chill, listen to music, eat, talk to people, smoke (usually) and other cool stuff. I have been training with Kerry, who is awesome. She's like me- talks alot, loud, and hyper. I love her. oh, and I caught someone shoplifting on my very first day! The two managers, Josh and John, were very proud, considering there are people who have been working there for a while who haven't even caught one person!!! I get my first check today, and it's going to be a little one, but money is money! me and mike are finally be lifted out of the poverty line today!! (we have had no money for about two weeks, so mom and dad and sam have been lending us money, all which we plan to pay back) so yeah, I love my job and I'm going to be sad to leave in January, hopefully they will ask me to stay, but chances are unlikely. =(
and I took my lip "stud" out. It was to much of a hassle to worry about. I had gotten a clear one taht just pops off, but I went to cosmo, and it didnt pop off. So I ended up having to leave, go to body language, and then to dads work because Tom wasn't open yet. and dad pulled it out with pliers, and I returned to the hair school. I got home and tried putting a hoop in, and it didn't work, so I said the hell with it, I'll get it done in June. But Newburys doesn't care about piercings, or tattoos, as long as its not TOO many of them. So thats me, what about everyone else? ::COUGH COUGH MOM!!!!::

Update from Virginia!
Hello Auntie Cindy and everyone! Here I am! :) I'm sorry I haven't shared about life here in Virginia lately, but I guess I didn't think there was much to share- however, it may just seem that way to me. The new job is awesome- I really like it a lot! Not dreading going to work every day like I did at the other job is a beautiful thing! Casey is handing in his application for his Masters degree to Mason today, so everybody send some prayers up about that. The sooner he gets in and gets his degree, the sooner I get to move back home! :)
In other moving news, Casey and I are condo-shopping. We really want to move to a bigger place- especially because we want to encourage visitors!- but we don't want to "waste" money on renting a bigger place, so we are looking for somewhere we can afford that we will own and be able to make a profit on when it's finally time to head back north. It's quite the process and we may be calling Aunt Beth for support at some point!
Umm, nothing much to update about the wedding. I'm kind of at a standstill because I've done all the big stuff, and the small detail-oriented stuff doesn't have to be done yet! Fortunately, I have the condo-shopping (and preparing for the holidays) to keep me busy! I hope everyone else is doing well. I miss you all lots and lots and lots! Can't wait to be home for Thanksgiving! :) XOXO!

Hey, You!!!!
Karen,
How was your play the other night?
I love to hear about your life, it is so much more exciting than mine. :)
Christie,
Where have you been? Job must be keeping you on your toes. :)
Any more plans in place for the big day?
Jenn,
how is your new job? Do they let you wear your lipring?
Why do they call it a ring, anyway? It is more of a stud, isn't it?
Sam,
I am sorry I missed your party. Did you take pictures?
I am proud of you.
Kyle,
You aren't on this thing, but does anyone have news of your life?
Nate,
I am glad they restored your life to you. You deserve the honor you have earned. :)
Don't forget to let us know where you have been while you are traveling.
DJ,
I still haven't seen your photos, at least not with your monologue to go with them.
Are your plans in place to go hunting on Thursday?
Brian,
You are sitting in the living room watching Mr & Mrs Smith.
you need to go and get a job. :)
Ruth,
I can't wait for our day off together!
Those are just the kiddos, but I have a billion questions for the older generations, too. :)
Get on and let us know what is happening in you life!
Finals :)
Okay, I know you all have heard enough from me about this, but I feel a bit good about things, and want to share.
Final grades for this term that I dreaded:
Algebra 82.55
Science 87.2
I dreaded this term because I knew I would fail, and unfortunately, I came pretty close. But, for those that are still in school, keep your chins up, and keep plugging along. It really makes a difference when your teacher knows you can do well, because you have proven it to them.
Whew, now I can sit back and enjoy this weekend!

Nothing is FInal, but...
Hey, I just need to tell you all that you need to give every effort, and not give up too soon.
Tuesday night, I was ready to throw in the towel, and not hand in anything for my Science Project. It was supposed to be 1200+ words, and when I talked to Kathy (at I don't know around 8 o'clock), I had about 2 sentences written. I just could get my head on straight. But, I sent in the couple of finished pages, as I posted about at that time. I checked my grades, and my professor gave me a 110/ 151, which is a "C". I was ready to quit, but didn't give up, or settle for the lowest grade. I told him that I had a family issue, and would gladly take any grade, including the zero I was expecting. He actually said he wished I had finished the paper, he thought it was pretty good. :)
I think he gave me the score because he knew that usually I try my hardest, and give my all. It makes it worthwhile in the long run, that is for sure.
Just remember that you only fail when you fail to try. :)

Life is Crazy
Hey all! Well, I've been super duper busy with school and everything, but I thought I might check in and let you all know what it is I've been doing that's keeping me so busy and tired and stressed out and on the verge of insanity...Well, I think I mentioned before that I am designing the makeup for the next show we are doing (A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum) and if I haven't mentioned it, well now I have. I showed my designs at the production meeting yesterday and they have been approved, so now I have to show all the actors how to apply it, which should be an interesting process (sarcasm). If I think of it, maybe I'll scan a couple of them and post them here. But don't count on it. I'll also be taking pictures of the actors in their makeup so maybe I'll post those instead. Anyway, I am also in this show called Unwrap your Candy, which opens tonight. We've been having some intense rehearsals all week and tonight we do it for an audience. We have performances all weekend. I'm a little worried because I just got a new part last weekend and only just performed it without my script last night. But the second time, it went pretty well, so hopefully it will go that well tonight. I wish I had other things to talk about, but theatre basically consumes my life so that's all I have. Well, I guess that's all. I love you all and miss you!

NOT a beauty school drop out!
Well, after a long emotional couple of days, I've come to my decision. I'll stay in hair school and finish it up, even though I don't need to be there. I talked with mom and dad yesterday about it and they made a good point. Why start something, work at it, and then just give up!? This was a good life lesson for me, start what you finish damn it! Nathan also helped me out with the criminal law thing, I know I can't be a crazy looking person in that department. I just felt very stripped of my indentity with this, I want to be who I want to be, and that hair school puts a damper on that. The girls in my class felt the same way (they aren't any where near as far out as I am though, lol they tame themselves) Soo...I'll just take my lip ring out for the couple hours, and then put it back in. Not that bad eh? Mike said I need to suck it up, it's not a big deal. <<33>

Here's the scoop....
I submitted my science paper, but it was only about 2 pages, instead of the 6- 8 pages. I just cannot get enough thoughts separated to make it work. And there is no reason to beat myself up about it, I did a lot more then I thought I might 3 hours ago. At least I should not get a "0". I will probably end up with a totally low grade, around a 72.
The upside, my Algebra grade should be an 82, which is way better than I thought it would be.
I am just glad to be done with it all. Next term should be a bit better, and if not, I will still do my best. :)
